The winning painting is by Coromandel artist, Barbara von Seida.

Barbaras work forms part of many private, public and corporate collections and has featured in exhibitions in Germany, Ireland, Japan and New Zealand. Her work has been published both nationally and internationally and additionally, Barbara has received numerous awards for her work, including those from the Franklin Arts Festival in the past, and we are absolutely thrilled that she is the winner of this, our 21st ever festival.

What a wonderful festival we have had in 2010 - and we end on a note that leaves us, The Franklin Arts Festival Society, with more thanks to offer. 

The Trade Me auction of the Supreme Award closed at the same time as the festival itself. There were many bidders, of which many will be disappointed, however we are proud to announce that the winning bid was for $720.  So, congratulations to Barbara Von Seida (the author) for such a succesful piece of artwork and congratulations to the auction winner for your support of both Barbara and our annual festival.  We certainly hope the Expression in Colour II is hanging in a prime position for all to enjoy.
